Talking Fashion Illustration, Business, and Entrepreneurship with UNSW's Fashion and Beauty Society.
Returning to the University of New South Wales (UNSW) to give a presentation on fashion illustration, business, and entrepreneurship was a deeply rewarding experience. As a former law student at UNSW, it feels like a full circle moment to come back, not as a lawyer, but as an entrepreneur with my venture, Soy Street.
After graduating from UNSW, I practiced law for six years. My time as a lawyer was invaluable, providing me with critical thinking skills and a strong foundation in business principles. However, my passion for fashion and creativity eventually led me to take a bold career change, diving into the world of entrepreneurship.
During the session, I shared insights on the intersection of fashion and business, and how illustration plays a pivotal role in bringing creative visions to life. We explored the challenges and triumphs of starting a business, the importance of perseverance, and the beauty of finding one's true passion.
It was inspiring to engage with the members of the Fashion and Beauty Society, a group of bright, enthusiastic individuals who are undoubtedly the future leaders in their fields. Their questions and perspectives reminded me of the limitless possibilities that lie ahead for those who dare to pursue their dreams.
Thank you to the Fashion and Beauty Society of UNSW for having me. I'm excited to see where your journeys take you and to witness the innovative contributions you will undoubtedly make to the world of fashion and beyond.
